Yes, it's the update I was supposed to give everyone but I may have gotten a little bit lazy. Well then no time to waste. Tally-ho!
Anime Los Angeles was a much better experience compared to last year. I met so many people and chatted with a lot of them too! Hey I'm shy and I've been working to end it!!! But back to Anime L.A., It was interesting wearing the Darknut on Saturday, it's also the reason why I have so few photos. It was interesting having people come up to me and ask if I made it and what it's made of. I told all of them the same thing, I did not make it and the armor is made of leather. On Friday and Saturday, I had scheduled photoshoot at the convention/hotel with WJS Cosplay
. It was definitely an interesting experience. I'll post the photos as soon as the photographer releases them. I should add that the Saturday photoshoot was hard. Holding that sword and shield became cumbersome very quickly. Note to self: Work out arms more.
My Rorschach cosplay has finally gone into retirement. It had a good run. I've worn that thing to every convention since June 2012. I've met so many people and done so many things in that cosplay. It does make me sad to retire it; but I have to. As much as I love my Rorschach cosplay(character included), the outfit got hot very quickly and I have other issues with it that I just don't want to deal with anymore. I might wear it again someday, I just don't see myself doing that anytime soon.
I'm free of facebook! No more Facebook! I am free of the beast! Free at last!!! I can't find an appropriate monster to represent facebook, so just use your imagination. Think of the ugliest, nastiest, hairiest(or hairless if that is scarier), scaliest, most terrifyingly disgusting monstrosity you can think of. That is what facebook is... Actually make it more hideous. You didn't do a good enough job.
I should add that I don't plan on creating a twitter or Tumblr account.
I also have some cosplays for the future planned. I just pray I get them done and that they look good.
Next week is the Riverside Lunar Festival. I don't think I'll be taking any photos there. As much as I love that it is so close to where I live, the problem is that cosplay is not in high demand in my area and tends to have very few cosplayers. So I can't promise a single photograph.
Next big convention is Wondercon! Too bad Anime Conji is on the same weekend. Oh well, I couldn't attend Conji anyways. San Diego is too far for me.
Anyways, thanks for reading!
Edit: I just remembered that someone had asked me if I was the Darknut from the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker musical. I said yes. I don't remember much else beyond the question. Still, being recognized for something like that makes me happy. :3
