It's on like Donkey Kong

Salutations are in order. To begin in a simple way, I'm a Cosplayer and I like to take photographs of other cosplayers. I've been visiting many varied conventions since May of 2012 and I have been cosplaying since June of the same year. The first convention I visited was the Inland Empire Comic Expo and the first I cosplayed at was AM2. My very first cosplay was Rorschach from Alan Moore's The Watchmen. I chose him because he is a brilliant character and, while he is flawed in many ways, he stands out as a unique and unrivaled character, in comparison to many other cookie-cutter super heroes. I've also worn Rorschach so many times to so many conventions that I've been slightly "typecasted" as him. I can't think of a better word, so I'm sticking with typecasting. I'm also a terrible photographer with a horrible set of cameras; I've used about five low quality cameras and I've somehow not gone insane from the low quality pictures and continuous frustration that comes with point-and-shoot. Presently, I use a Nikon D5200 with the 32mm Prime Lens. Anyways, thanks for reading and be sure to favorite, comment, and share any photos that you like and to +watch my account. Tally-Ho!

I've been meaning to throw in an update for some time, I just never bothered to getting around to it and to bring to light a couple of updates.

I've gotten a Brand New, technically refurbished, Camera. It's a Nikon D5200 and I absolutely love this thing with a passion. The photos are clear, there is a multitude of settings to toy around with, and it's just far superior to those horrendous point-and-shoot cameras that I've had the displeasure of using. It didn't come with a lens, so I had to buy a new one in order to keep it from being a very expensive paper weight. The lens that I have equipped it with is a 35mm Prime lens, which means very high picture quality and a perfect portrait/person/landscape lens. The only downside to a prime lens is that it lacks the ability to zoom in-and-out, which means that I have to physically change locations every time I experiment with a different shot. A small price to pay. I have in mind at least 3 people I want to experiment with, it's just the time span between conventions that is keeping me from using this beauty to it's fullest potential. Now that I think about it, I've put myself into a bind. I want to cosplay but I want to take photos, but it's hard to do both. Most photographers, that I've met and seen, either do not cosplay or they do very simple cosplays. I'll figure something out, I still want to cosplay.

I do not know whether I'll be able to attend Comikaze for Friday and Saturday. I have tried to make time for this convention, but it's been the most difficult to schedule time for. I think I may need to skip it again this year much like I did last, I truly do not know. The situation might change here soon, but I cannot make any promises. I had forgo it last year and that was very painful to do. The upside to this means more money to spend on fabric and all of that smooth jazz.Anime Los Angeles is still in the green and I plan on keeping it that way.
